That sounds like an interesting milling machine. It sounds a good bit like a Millrite, which was a good solid machine for the home shop. They had a one piece cast base like the Bridgeport are about 2/33/4 the size. It''s a shame the Asian manufacturers didn''t copy tthese instead of the little Clausing.
